Superintendent Biography

Baird ISD Superintendent Dr. Tim Little has served the students of Baird ISD since July 2020. He began his educational career as a substitute teacher in the Spring Branch ISD, and later taught high school English at Phillis Wheatley High School in the Houston ISD. He left education for a time to pursue opportunities in the private sector but returned as a teacher and coach at Jasper High School in the Jasper ISD, where he taught high school mathematics, computer sciences, and debate. He served as a middle school and high school principal in the San Augustine ISD. Dr. Little served as superintendent of the Ben Bolt–Palito Blanco ISD and later as superintendent of Perryton ISD.

Dr. Little holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. He earned his Principal and Superintendent certifications from Abilene Christian University, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Dr. Little has also earned a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

A native of Lufkin, Texas, he is married to Meredith, a career educator who currently teaches online and dual-credit college history and government courses. They have two children, Michael, a talented musician currently residing in Houston, and Josephine, an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin.
