High School

The 2024-25 BHS Academic team competed at Distric on March 25 and March 27. Of the 24 students who competed, 17 advanced to Regionals, and several of these students advanced in multiple contests. The BHS team won the district championship by over 300 points.

The 2023-24 the BHS Academic team sent 17 students to the District Competition. Fifteen of those students advanced to Regional competition. Five advanced to State, and all five placed. Ashlyn Crawford and Bree Tennison were state champions  in Copy Editing and Poetry, respectively. The Literary Criticism team earned the silver medal. Brady Deel placed 4th in Literary Criticism, and Westen Isenhower placed 6th in News Writing.

In 2023 and 2025, Baird was the District 13A Champion overall, and in 2024, we were the District 13A Runner-Up.

Any student in grades 9-12 is invited to be a part of our academics team each year. We travel to several practice meets and compete in some virtual competitions.

Elementary & Junior High

The Elementary and JH Academic team competes at the District level only.  In 2024-25, xx elementary and 38 junior high students participated, and both teams placed third in the district.

Any student in 2^nd through 8^th grade is invited to be a part of our academics team each year.
