Tech Tips for Parents

Dangerous Apps

The Fort Collins, Colorado, Police Department is warning parents about specific apps that may expose children to cyberbullying, online predators, and sextortion risks. Some apps, like Calculator Percentage, appear harmless but are used to hide sensitive content.

Police recommend that parents have regular conversations with their children about their online activity, set clear boundaries, understand their children’s apps, and remind them never to share personal information online.
