Baird ISD has placed all campuses in a SECURE posture this morning. This means that all exterior doors are locked, and students and staff are remaining inside the building. Classes are continuing as normal.

The reason for this action is that Clyde ISD has placed its campuses on lockdown due to anonymous threats received. Baird ISD has not received any threats, and we have no information indicating that our students are at risk. We are taking this step out of an abundance of caution to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.

During this time, we ask that parents do not come to the school unless there is an urgent reason. Limiting traffic in and out of the building helps us maintain a secure environment.

We will continue to monitor the situation and remain in contact with local law enforcement. If conditions change, we will update you immediately.
