  • The Hugh Shrader Memorial Scholarship is an award given to one senior each year in memory of Hugh Shrader, a 1947 graduate of Baird High School.

    Applicants will be considered in the following areas:

    • Character,
    • Academics,
    • Athletic Participation, and
    • Financial Need.

    Requirements

    • Be a graduating high school senior.
    • Be a United States citizen.
    • Be sponsored by a current member of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association.
    • Express interest in returning to a rural community following graduation.

  • Association of Compensatory Educators of Texas Information 

    Our Association offers twenty $1,000 scholarships across the state to students who have, at some time in their school career, been enrolled in a compensatory education program. Compensatory Education includes programs such as Title I, Bilingual/ESL, State Compensatory Education (SCE), Migrant, and Homeless.

  • Samsung American Legion Scholarship Information

    Scholarship applications are limited to students between their junior and senior years of high school who attend the current session of either an American Legion Boys State or American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program and are a direct descendant - i.e. child, grandchild, great-grandchild, etc. Stepchildren and legally adopted children are considered direct descendants of a wartime U.S. military veteran who served on active duty during at least one of the periods of war officially designated as eligibility dates for American Legion membership.

  • Capital Farm Credit Youth Scholarship Information

    Applicant must demonstrate that they have a tentative educational plan and goals, related to fields in agriculture or natural resources (may include Ag Communications, Ag Economics/Business, Ag Education, Wildlife or Ranch Management, etc.).

  • Horatio Alger Scholarship Information

    This scholarship can award you up to $2,500 to pursue a career certification or technical education, of your choice, at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.

    Horatio Alger Association also administers over 70 scholarship programs, offering opportunities for students in various stages of their academic careers to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential.
