UIL Competition Results

  • 2023-24 Elementary & JH Results

    The elementary and junior high students competed very well in the district UIL meet this year. Both schools finished 3rd overall, and students brought home many awards.

  • 2023-24 High School UIL Season Results

    The BHS Academic UIL team had a stellar season. Fifteen students qualified for Regional and five students advanced for the State UIL Meet. All 5 brought home medals, including TWO state championships in Copy Editing and Poetry, a State Runner-Up trophy for the Literary Criticism team, a 4th place finish in Literary Criticism, and a 6th place award for News Writing. The team also won awards at several other meets. Congratulations BHS UIL!

Academic UIL Teams

High School

The 2023-24 BHS Academic team competed at District on April 4th. 17 students competed and 15 of those students advanced to Regionals. From the Regional Meet in San Angelo on April 26-27, five students advanced to the State Competition. 

Any student in grades 9-12 is invited to be a part of our academics team each year. We travel to several practice meets and compete in some virtual competitions. In 2023, Baird was the District 13A Champion overall, and in 2024, we were the District 13A Runner-Up.

Elementary & Junior High

The Elementary and JH Academic team competes at the District level only.  In 2023-24, 26 elementary and 27 junior high students participated, and both teams placed third in the district.

Any student in 2nd through 8th grade is invited to be a part of our academics team each year.
