G/T Referral Announcement
G/T Referral Period
Baird ISD is now accepting referrals for students who may need Gifted/Talented Services for the school year. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level, not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of the educational needs of the student.

Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Baird ISD, in first through twelfth grade, this school year is asked to fill out the  online referral form . All kindergarten students will be given a basic screener, and if additional testing is recommended for a student, Mrs. Williams will contact the child's parent/guardian. This form must be returned to the school by December 13. Those unable to fill out the form online should call 325-854-1400 ext. 105 to request a form be sent to them.

For more information on the G/T program, go to the  Baird ISD website .

Elementary classes will be in competition with each other to see which class can bring the most non-perishable food items. The winning class will get to spend an hour one afternoon playing games with High School Student Council members.

Junior High and High School students that bring at least 10 non-perishable food items will get to also spend one hour playing games.  Bring your cans to Ms. Grimes' room.

There will also be additional awards and incentives given during the week.
